Ugly Betty 2.0 (minus the 70 pounds)

Ta-da (sans make-up)! Other than looking like the Terminator, and having to clean my teeth for 25 minutes twice a day I will say it is not that bad.

The best part of the experience is observing how other people react to my new Braces. Some people are very positive, some do a "double-take", and some just can't help but laugh.

The worst part of the experience has been getting through the work day. Instead of hiding behind my hand, I normally fess up, introduce my braces with a funny joke, and go on my way. I have been "dolling" myself up a little more in hopes that I counteract the Braces effect - not sure if this is working. ;)

Tonight I am going out with 10+ of our closest Church friends, this will be the first time most of them have seen me with Braces. I am nervous, but I know everyone will be super supportive.
